Debating final
15 Dec 2025
On the 21st of November, the Mortlake Public School debating team took off to Old Guilford Public School to represent the school.
After weeks of blood, sweat and tears, they managed to make it to the debating finals. Our representative team from our school was Maya, Aeon, Maddison, and Micah. The topic was “Standardised testing should be banned” and MPS were the affirmative side.
Unfortunately, the opposing team, Merrylands East Public School, JUST managed to snatch the win. But it is amazing that we placed second, and good job to the debating team!
Big thank you to Ms Wilson for her invaluable time coaching the students this year!
