Hands-On learning grows in Stage 2

06 Mar 2026

Stage 2 students are diving into hands-on science by building their own terrariums.

Stage 2 students are getting their hands dirty in the best way possible!

As part of their learning about Earth’s systems, students have moved into Phase 2 of building their own terrariums. This hands-on project is giving them a chance to explore how natural environments work, right in their own classroom.

It’s been wonderful to see students so engaged. They are observing, experimenting and making connections between science and the world around them. Learning like this helps students build curiosity, creativity and a deeper understanding of nature.

At Mortlake Public School, we are proud to offer rich, real-world learning experiences like this. Our classrooms are places where students can explore, ask questions and discover new ideas every day.
