Mortlake Public School is celebrating a very special achievement, with Principal Mrs McEvoy receiving a Pride of Workmanship Award from the Rotary Club.

Good morning Mrs McEvoy and thank you for joining us for this interview.
So we hear that you have received a very special award a few weeks ago.
- When exactly did you receive this award?
Answer: I received the award on 23rd February 2026 - What was the award for?
Answer: It is called the Pride of Workmanship Award from the Rotary Club - Where did you receive this award?
Answer: At Massey Park Golf Club - Were you expecting this award?
Answer: Absolutely not! It was a huge surprise and honour - How did it feel to receive this award?
Answer: I felt honoured and wanted to share it with everyone who works and learns at Mortlake PS because we work as an amazing team. - What does this award mean to you?
Answer: It means a great deal to me, as it is a privilege to be the Principal at Mortlake PS, and I love working with all the students and amazing teachers every day. It makes me proud! - How were you nominated for this award?
Answer: I don’t exactly know I think the president of the Rotary club nominated me after he met me at the Concord Farmers Market when we were there promoting our amazing school! - Well, congratulations, and thank you for taking the time to do this interview!
