Quest Challenge
15 Dec 2025
Quest is a challenge where students from each year group participate in an enrichment program. This year we went to Sydney University to compete in some very challenging tasks across science, maths and humanities.
The stage 2 students were Aika, Axel, Sun-woo, Thomas, Mila and Lachlan.
The stage 3 representatives were Zac, Keira, Esther, Aeon, Thomas. Last year we came 2nd in the whole program!
This year we learnt all about neurons, graphs and nihilism. Mrs Petrino told us all about the Quest and how we would miss school on the Monday and Tuesday.
We think we did so well in all of these subjects after all this wonderful teaching.
The Quest
The Quest provides opportunities for creativity, problem solving and team work, offering the level of challenges that foster outstanding achievement.
A chance to demonstrate school pride in a competitive environment, The Quest ignites passions, strengthens focus and challenges boundaries of learning, giving gifted students the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of their own ability.
At Mortlake Public School, we believe every child has unique strengths, whether creative, intellectual, physical or social-emotional. Our High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) program is designed to identify those talents and help students reach new heights through enrichment, extension and accelerated learning.
