Remembrance Day
13 Nov 2025
Every year on the 11th of November, Remembrance Day is commemorated.
It is to remember armed forces members who have died in the line of duty, and families that were affected.
We bow our heads for 1 minute in silence at 11:11am during the school’s Remembrance Day Assembly. It is a solemn occasion in which we pay our respects to fallen soldiers and comrades from all wars and conflicts that Australia has been involved in. On Remembrance Day, we wear a red poppy in memory of the bloodshed in Flanders Field.
Mortlake Public School provides a wide range of programs to complement the curriculum and broaden our students' learning experience. Taking part in co-curricular and extracurricular activities helps our students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.
We take pride in celebrating our students' achievements both in and out of the classroom. We're committed to nurturing an environment where every student is encouraged to reach their full potential.
