Students explore 3D design with Tinkercad

Our future designers in S2W put their problem-solving skills to the test with an introduction to Tinkercad tutorials.
Class S2W dove headfirst into the exciting world of digital technology by exploring 3D design with Tinkercad.
Students worked through interactive tutorials, mastering new digital tools and learning how to stack 3D shapes on a flat screen. There were plenty of "trial and error" moments along the way, but problem-solving is all part of the learning journey. It was wonderful to see so much creativity, persistence, and clever thinking on display as the children proudly brought their ideas to life.
Hands-on STEM experiences like this help our students build vital critical thinking skills, transforming them from technology consumers into active creators. Seeing our students collaborate, laugh, and push through design challenges highlights the fantastic learning culture we share at Mortlake.
We definitely have some brilliant future designers and engineers in the making!
About Tinkercad
Tinkercad is a free, web-based 3D design and modeling tool. Designed specifically for beginners, students, and hobbyists, it runs entirely within your browser. Users build models by dragging and dropping primitive geometric shapes, then combining or subtracting them to create more complex objects.
