Making a splash at Swim Scheme 2026

27 May 2026

Our students recently dived into the Swim Scheme program, building vital water safety skills and having a wonderful time.

Earlier this term, MPS participated in the Swim Scheme program.

This program provides students with valuable opportunities to develop essential water safety and swimming skills. Through structured lessons, students build confidence in the water, improve their swimming techniques, and learn important survival strategies that can help keep them safe around aquatic environments.

Participation in the program also promotes physical fitness, resilience, and personal achievement as students work towards individual goals.

The Swimming Scheme is an enjoyable and beneficial experience that supports lifelong health, wellbeing, and water safety awareness.

Here are some direct quotes from students that participated

Aida - S1S “We learnt how to do survival strokes”

Lachlan - S1S “It was really fun because we got to learn a new stroke everyday”

Talia - S1M “I wished it didn’t have to end and we had longer in the pool”

Hunter - “We learnt how to help people if they were in trouble in the water”
